This trash can ranges from uneaten food to various forms of packaging, and whatever it is, you’ll need a trash can or other item to store it in.

While seeing trash in real life is not pretty, it can be surprisingly fun to draw. That’s what we want to discover in this guide to drawing garbage.

Get ready for this step-by-step trash drawing tutorial to end up with a composition of skill that’s anything but trash!

How to Draw Garbage

Step 1

When we start this garbage drawing tutorial, let’s start by drawing the garbage can in which the garbage will be placed.

First, use straight, vertical lines for the sides of the basket. The stripe on the ownership will be a bit lengthy, and there will be a space at the bottom, as we will add some details later.

Next, use some curved and straight lines for a relatively thick border at the top of the container. Finish this step by tossing some more trash in the trash can.

We used a drink bottle and a fish structure on the left and will add more in the next few steps.

Step 2

This trash drawing isn’t yet trashy enough, so we’ll add more in the next few steps!

First, we attached another bottle in the middle of the basket rim. Next to it, let’s draw an open soda can and some bones.

Once these junk items are added, let’s draw some flies buzzing around.

Once you’ve drawn these flies, you can add a dashed line behind them to show the path they’ve flown.

Step 3

Continuing this trash drawing guide, we’ll add more trash cans around the trash can and give more details about the trash can itself.

First, we placed a coffee cup in the bottom left corner of the container, next to another glass bottle standing upright.

So, with some crooked arrows, we drew the recognizable recycling symbol. Drawing can be tricky.

When you have drawn all these aspects, we can carry on to step 4 of the manual!

Step 4

In this fourth phase of the waste design, we will keep things more straightforward. First, draw a straight horizontal line across the bottom of the bottle to form the bottom of the basket.

At the end of this line, we draw half of a small thin oval shape. That’s all this step has to offer, and in the next step, we’ll wrap up with some final touches, elements, and details!

Step 5

You’ll soon be able to bring this image to life with color, but first, we need to add a few final details in this step of our How To Draw Recycle Bin drawing guide.

We complete the pile of garbage in the lower right by drawing an apple core with a few simple lines.

Add a few more small square pieces of trash next to it, and then we’ll draw the trash can lid next to it.

This will be drawn as a thin, slightly angled shape, as shown in the reference image. Once these details are drawn, you can finalize your ideas.

There are many types of junk, so that you can add even more to this image! Seeing overflowing trash can be significant in life, but it can cause an even better excellent image.

Step 6

This is the last step of your trash drawing, and now you can refine it with some colors to bring it to life!

In our reference image, we tried to use a good variety of colors throughout the image.

For the trash can, we used shades of green and then tried to incorporate many different color variations for the trash can.

With a picture like this, the more colorings you can use, the more practical, making the image ‘stronger.’

If you want the colors to pop, you’ll need supplies like acrylic paints and colored pencils or markers.
